MDM vendors are extending ingestion capabilities beyond meters to other types of sensors aspiring to become generic IoT platform providers, while IoT platform vendors are eyeing the utility market to verticalize their offering for utility needs.
• Availability of accurate, low-latency granular consumption data ingested, persisted and disseminated by MDM is critical for utility digital transformation.
