Itron Inspire 2022: Explore the Possibilities and Get Inspired

July 08, 2022

After two years of gathering virtually, we are so excited to finally return to an in-person Itron Inspire! There’s no substitute for face-to-face connection. We’re preparing for the best year yet by hosting leaders from across the energy, water, IIoT and smart city communities to share ideas and explore the possibilities for a more sustainable future. From detecting new EV assets on the grid and transforming overloading issues to creating more vibrant, sustainable communities, we’ve seen firsthand the results of our cutting-edge solutions. We look forward to sharing how more intelligence opens the door to more possibilities at the 2022 Itron Inspire in Marco Island, FL. We hope you’ll join us.

This year’s in-person event will feature an excellent lineup of speakers, including numerous customer-led breakout sessions as well as networking events. We’re also offering the option to watch 20+ select livestreamed keynotes and breakout sessions online. Pre-conference training takes place Sept. 23-25 and includes a range of one-day introductory courses to three-day certified training sessions. Itron Inspire’s main event - the Knowledge Conference - will take place Sept. 25-27, 2022, and includes keynotes, thought leadership panels and more than 90 breakout sessions as well as a showcase of Itron and partner solutions.

Here are a few highlights:

  • Tom Deitrich, president and CEO of Itron, will kick things off with an opening keynote that touches on the continuous innovation in our industry to ensure utilities and cities can meet the needs of their communities, and how leveraging more intelligence throughout the delivery system can lead to more opportunities for optimization and efficiency. During the opening session, we will also unveil the progress of this year’s Itron Resourcefulness Insight Report and how we’re moving forward to create a more resourceful world.
  • Join Itron’s Lucas Scheidler and Bahram Pouya as they give an overview of 24/7 trends and explore how cities, corporations and utilities can work together to bridge the gap between utility decarbonization timelines and more aggressive city and corporate goals. This session will also explore increasing requirements around Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions reporting for ESG purposes. We hope you’ll join this collaborative breakout session and share your thoughts about how we can  work together to meet aggressive decarbonization goals.
  • Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a range of industry topics in both Itron and customer-led breakout sessions spanning across four themed tracks: applications, outcomes and services; data management; mobile and measurement solutions; and multi-purpose network solutions.
  • A variety of forums, which take place before and after the Knowledge Conference, will allow attendees to dive deeper into core topics and hear from Itron product team members. Forums include Itron’s Enterprise Edition Meter Data Management Users’ Forum, Field Collection System Users’ Forum, Water Operations Management Forum, Grid Management Forum and AMI Operations Forum.
